What We Do

Our clinical research unit recruits and provides financial compensation to study volunteers who participate in clinical research trials. These trials are designed to verify safety and tolerability of an investigational drug in people, exploring how the medicine acts in the bodies of healthy volunteers. All studies are fully supervised by medical professionals.

Why Participate?

New medications help people every day. To be approved, those medications go through research trials, and those trials require generally healthy people to participate. By participating, you could help others by helping treatments get approved by the FDA. It is also an easy way to earn extra income, while taking a break from everyday life.

Getting Started

It starts with a call to PPD. We'll discuss your medical history and the study needs. We'll then set a visit to our clinic at which we'll talk about the study and potential side effects, answer your questions, and conduct a physical exam. If you qualify, you'll be contacted to schedule your study. You are free to withdraw your participation at any time.

What to Expect from a Study

Some of our studies are outpatient, or even at-home studies. However, many require a night to several days or even weeks' stay at our facility. People generally join a study to earn money, but can also enjoy our amenities while in a study, including: a game room, sports TV room, reading room, movie room, all meals provided and 24-hour medical assistance. Compensation

Volunteers qualifying for and participating in our research studies are paid a monetary compensation for their participation, with the amount of money paid varying quite a bit from study to study. The amount paid is based on the length of stay, in-patient or out-patient, and other factors. Participants are informed before the study begins how and when they are paid, often built on a nightly rate.

The study I participated in was great!! It's unbelievable how much money you can make. I always feel safe and well informed about every aspect of the process and what is required from me. They always let you choose whether or not you want to participate. If you do not feel comfortable with a study, there is absolutely no pressure to participate. I used my money that I earned from this study to go skiing in Utah!!! It paid for a killer 4wd Jeep, all the ski gear, ski passes, and food with money left over! We had a blast!!!

PPD is by far is one of the most professional clinics that I have participated in studies. Lavanni is very polite and takes her time to explain everything to the volunteers, she has excellent communication skills. She is in my opinion one of the best coordinators, all of my experiences with her have been nothing but positive. PPD is a very clean facility, housekeeping does a great job. I also love the set-up for housing upstairs and the way we maintain social distancing at all times.

All subjects and staff are issued N95 masks and required to wear them at all times. Staff makes sure everything is wiped down after use to ensure that everyone is safe. PPD has always been a clean facility but the place is immaculate now because the housekeeping staff is constantly cleaning which makes me feel really safe.

I signed up for a PPD study to earn decent money while studying for some certifications and licensing classes, all the while benefiting science. I spent most of my time studying, catching up on much needed rest, or hanging out with friends. I can get a lot done with few to no distractions. I used the money that I earned in my last study for a down payment on my next vehicle. I would participate in another study again. It's a great way to make money, get the time to study or read, and make new friends.

While at the clinic, I caught up on some much needed rest as well as binged on a few of my favorite TV shows. Time flew really fast. I've meet some really cool people while in house. It's like a paid vacation, full of rest and relaxation! I signed up for a study at PPD in order to make extra money for a down payment on my future home purchase. I was able to purchase my first home and I am now in the process of renovating.
